Our Founders

Founded by surgeons who remember what it took to find their path

Eyeprentice was founded by William F. Wiley, MD and Robert J. Weinstock, MD, two cataract and refractive surgeons who have spent their careers training the next generation of anterior segment surgeons.

They saw the same gap year after year: talented residents choosing a fellowship with little real exposure to the programs, the mentors, or the technology they would build their careers around. The best introductions happened by chance, in hallways at meetings, and too many residents never got them.

Eyeprentice exists to make those connections on purpose, bringing residents, fellowship directors, and industry together so every resident can find the right fit and every program can find the right surgeon.
